Growing up I was like so many young boys and men, dealing with and suffering from insecurities and lack of confidence due to our bodies. So when I was 15 years old, I decided to take control of my physique and became obsessed with the world of weight training.
By the time I reached my early twenties, I had completely transformed both my body and my life. Reaching low single digit body fat while adding a significant amount of muscle had given me both the confidence and ability to feel like I could accomplish anything I set my mind to.
But being young and naive almost cost me everything I worked so hard to build.
By the age of 30, I had been competing in bodybuilding shows for years, and the approach I was taking during the "offseason" to bulk up, or build muscle, was much of what was being taught by the so-called experts, and also what everyone was doing in the magazines.
Following a "see food" diet, and focusing solely on lifting as much weight as I could possibly handle put me in a position where I was now over 270lbs, suffering from high blood pressure, heart risks, and depression. The same thing that made the man that I became in my twenties, was now destroying my life.
It was at this point when I decided to change everything about my approach to training and nutrition.
I began reading every research based article I could get my hands on. I sought out the best trainers, coaches, and leaders in the fields of hypertrophy, muscle building, biomechanics, sports performance, and nutrition.
After investing thousands of dollars and hours into both learning and real world application, I was able to identify the most intelligent and effective approach to building muscle, losing fat, and becoming the greatest version of yourself.
At this point in my life and training career, I am able to make progress year after year while remaining 100% injury free.
It is my mission in life to help every single man out there who is suffering with many of the issues I was when I was younger.
